Until 1994, DKMS received financial support from the German cancer organization Deutsche Krebshilfe and from the German Ministry for Health. But we now generate our revenues in two main ways: donations from private individuals and businesses, and reimbursements from healthcare providers. The reimbursements are used to update our database, carry out further lab tests and organize blood stem cell collections.
